Dion, tout juste sorti de prison, a une dette envers un gangster du coin. L'ancien détenu décide donc de s'associer avec son vieil ami, Thomas, ancien sommelier et alcoolique repenti, veuf avec un fils de 9 ans, pour créer un restaurant. Un projet qu'ils n'avaient pas réussi à mettre en place quelques années auparavant, lorsqu'un incendie criminel et un mystérieux conducteur en fuite avaient tué la femme de Thomas.
