Angelo, jeune carrossier romain, et son épouse Rossana attendent leur troisième enfant et vivent paisiblement dans le quartier du Pigneto à Rome. Un soir, leur vie va croiser celle d’Alberto, scénariste en vogue, dans le lieu le plus inattendu.
