Astronaute mécanicien de bord d'une station spatiale, Arabov, en orbite depuis six ans, a piraté la caméra de vidéosurveillance de Vladivostok où vit sa fille Lera, adolescente, histoire de pouvoir garder un œil sur elle. Lorsqu'une pluie de météores menace de s'abattre sur la ville, Arabov cherche par tous les moyens à prévenir sa fille de l'imminence d'une catastrophe, d'une ampleur sans précédent.
