Reggie, une dinde, tente de faire comprendre à ses congénères que s’ils sont engraissés, c’est pour finir dans une assiette à l’occasion de la fête de Thanksgiving. Mais, surprise, Reggie est gracié par le Président des États‐Unis. Habitant dans une demeure confortable, il est alors enlevé par Jake, un dindon rebelle. Il l’oblige à voyager avec lui, dans le passé, grâce à une machine à remonter le temps afin de retourner aux origines de cette tradition, pour y mettre fin.
