Pour se reposer de sa dure journée de travail au chantier, Carlos préfère de loin la bière aux sorties culturelles. Macho typique, il regarde le football avec bien plus d'attention que sa femme, pourtant aujourd'hui toute en beauté pour un mariage. Lors de la cérémonie, Carlos participe à une séance d'hypnose organisée par le cousin de Carmen, dont il se moque allégrement.
